Scan Fit and Measure Series

Scan Fit and Measure, the company’s flagship product, is a 2D system that automatically measures and inspects the geometry of extruded profiles. As a quality control tool, it helps a variety of production facilities reduce costs and minimize product deviation. The flatbed scanner technology is suitable for measuring aluminum, plastic, rubber, silicone, and medical tube extrusions, as well as sheet components such as gaskets and membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) for hydrogen fuel cells.

The SFM measurement system is straightforward to set up and operate, providing instant pass/fail evaluations based on a rich set of customer-predefined geometric dimensions and tolerances. It provides visual comparisons between scanned images and CAD models based on precise measurements of size, position, wall thickness, and GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing). Its large field of view of up to 400mm × 600mm (16 in. × 24 in.) enables measurement of large or multiple parts, thereby speeding up quality control while ensuring an uninterrupted production flow.
